BIO

Dr. Crawford is a board-certified family physician who loves calling the High Country home! He was born in Miami, Florida, but grew up in Asheville and considers the Appalachian Mountains to be "home" and it's a dream come true to open his own practice in Avery County. Dr. Crawford counts it as a blessing to have rotated through hospitals in New York City as a medical student (thus gaining experience in the challenges of urban medicine), followed by three formative years in Lynchburg, VA learning the craft of family medicine under the talented supervision of Dr. David Gregory, and finally joining the Baker Center in 2015 where he began the practice of medicine alongside one of Avery County's most dedicated physicians: Dr. Charles "Charlie" Baker. Dr. Crawford has also practiced in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, where he honed his urgent care skills (especially those gnarly mountain biking and snow accidents!).

Dr. Crawford enjoys facilitating aesthetic clients along their beauty journeys, with a treatment philosophy of softening the effects of aging and enhancing natural beauty. He is a hands-on practitioner and enjoys performing procedures that produce visible and satisfying results, both in aesthetics and in medicine!

In his free time, Dr. Crawford enjoys spending time with his family, including his beautiful wife Nancy, their three children, and their Great Pyrenees-Anatolian Shepherd mix Piper. He also enjoys running, playing soccer and lacrosse, cooking, reading, woodworking, playing bass guitar, and traveling.
